Policy Officer - Internet Governance

The Centre for Internet & Society is seeking an individual with a background and interest in issues pertaining to IG including privacy, big data, FoE, AI etc. under its Internet Governance programme.

This position will include undertaking field research, developing policy briefs, organizing conferences, and writing research reports, engaging with key stakeholders, and collaborating with project partners in areas under our research.

Note: This position is for a duration of 1 year. There is currently one vacancy for this post. Selected candidate will work from CIS office in Bangalore.

Required Skill Sets

 
  1. Previous work and an interest in issues pertaining to IG including privacy, big data, FoE, and AI.
  2. Strong writing and analytical skills.
  3. Experience in conducting research.
  4. Knowledge of Indian law and policy relevant to the digital sphere.
  5. Demonstrable research skills and ability to undertake research independently.
  6. Strong communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
 
Compensation: Based on experience and education.
