Review of Guidelines for Indian Government Websites-meeting notice

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension has called for a meeting for review of guidelines for Indian Government websites. The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Shri Anoop Kumar Srivastava, Addl. Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The competent authority constituted a committee to review Guidelines for Indian Government Websites. Sunil Abraham is a committee member, and will participate in this meeting. The meeting will be held in the Committee Room, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, 5th Floor, Sardar Patel Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi on April 5, 2013.

The Centre for Internet and Society (CIS) is a non-profit organisation that undertakes interdisciplinary research on internet and digital technologies from policy and academic perspectives. The areas of focus include digital accessibility for persons with disabilities, access to knowledge, intellectual property rights, openness (including open data, free and open source software, open standards, open access, open educational resources, and open video), internet governance, telecommunication reform, digital privacy, and cyber-security. The research at CIS seeks to understand the reconfiguration of social processes and structures through the internet and digital media technologies, and vice versa.
